![Bengali weddings are truly different. From the bride dressed to look like a Goddess, to the groom in his unmistakable topor, and the 14 uniquely done pheras, it’s far from what we’re used to.
The last Bengali wedding we photographed was Aatreyee’s sister’s. While we brushed up on the rituals we remembered and did our homework on a few new ones, we were still in awe! Like witnessing it all for the very first time.
Maybe that’s what people do, they bring their own personality, emotion, and soul, and turn rituals performed a million times before into something entirely their own ✨
